  • OPENING IN DALLAS ON SEPTEMBER 13, 2025

Akim Monet Fine Arts presents Time Capsule — Rodin — The Sculpted Voice, an exhibition of 29 works that explore the poetical, mythological, and human dimensions of Auguste Rodin.

Structured in eight thematic conversations, the exhibition spans Rodin’s dialogue with Victor Hugo; rare variants such as the round-base Eve; the prophetic stride of Saint Jean-Baptiste leading to the Walking Man; and the scandal of The Age of Bronze and its bust gifted to soldier Neyt. Fragments in the tradition of the non-finito stand alongside demiurgic visions of the Hand of God and Pygmalion & Galatea, while the Cri and the Mask of Hanako frame the spectrum of expression from anguish to ritual. The cycle culminates in Rodin’s vision of heroism and reverie, uniting public monumentality with intimate studies.

Together, these works form a “time capsule” — preserving Rodin’s sculpted voice as it continues to resonate across history, myth, and memory.

    Auguste RODIN (1840–1917) Saint Jean-Baptiste, reduction n°1 – half life size. Bronze, richly shaded green-brown patina. 30 5/8 × 18 3/4 × 9 1/4 in (77.8 × 47.5 × 23.3 cm). Signed “A. Rodin." Cast in 1930 by Alexis Rudier Fondeur.
